Job offers that charge a boarding fee
A real job doesn't charge you a fee to come aboard. Fake offers aimed at people looking for extra income almost always reach a point where they ask for money.
Forms the request takes
- Registration or activation fees before you can see any work.
- Training packages that the "employer" sells you.
- Starter kits of equipment or stock bought from them.
- Deposits to unlock tasks or withdraw earnings.
- Forwarding money through your account, which can involve you in a crime.
Signs before the request
Unrequested messages, high pay for simple tasks, contact only through private apps, and pressure to decide today.
What to do
Don't pay or forward anything. Stop replying and report the account. If you've already paid, call your bank straight away and report it to the police or your country's fraud reporting service.
